NationalGeographic.com
The homework section of NationalGeographic.com makes learning fun. Organized by subjects like Maps/Geography, Animals, History/Culture, it is easy to find what you need quickly. Choose The White House and become President for a day. Or select Underground Railroad and hear the spiritual “Steal Away” while making the virtual journey to freedom with Harriet Tubman as your guide.

Encarta Online
Encarta is an MSN site that serves as a study resource with an online dictionary, atlas and quiz page. It also offers an encyclopedia called the Web Center that guides you to other homework sites. Highly recommended for all ages.
Great Grammar
Encarta led me directly to my new favorite place for help with grammar at homework time. This private site, though not pretty, offers in depth info on grammar and creative writing from adjectives to determiners and will help parents sort out those unruly run-on sentences. Use it to help your children and yourself. There is even a reference to School House Rock lyrics and the Conjunction Junction song.
Grade School Worksheets
PrimaryGames.com is a fun site for the K-5 set, with activity pages, learning games and worksheets to download. For creative students, there are plenty of coloring pages and puzzles for problem solvers, too.
